// Online // Participative Project "I Wish I'd Asked"//

I Wish I'd Asked logoThe database-driven participative project "I Wish I'd Asked" explores love, loss, regret, and the unanswerable questions that are left behind when the people in our lives die.

What do we do with the unfinished business? What about all those questions we meant to ask? Or the questions we never even realized we had? Those questions whose answers are forever lost to us?

You can see a neverending cycle of questions that other people wish they'd asked, or contribute your own.

// 10.14.05 - 12.11.05 // Glowlab: Open Lab, at Art Interactive, Boston, MA
I participated in a group show of interactive site-specific work, at Art Interactive in Boston, MA. I prepared a Boston-specific version of "Hello". In October 2005, Glowlab presented an 8-week site-specific installation at AI. Artists in residence each weekend conducted artistic and psychogeographic experiments as the gallery is transformed into a working lab complete with video and web-based works and project documentation in the form of maps, photos and other materials. Artists -- including Glowlab's regular members as well as guest artists -- produced participatory projects in a variety of forms including instruction-based works, walking tours, mobile tech-based participatory works, performances, workshops and more.

In accordance with Glowlab's focus on psychogeography, projects were highly experimental and took place not only in the gallery, but also in the public space surrounding the gallery. This approach served to engage AI visitors with the neighborhood and local community and expand their gallery experience to include the city as a whole.

// 09.26.03 // "Interchange": An Evening of Interactive Performance and Installation
An evening of interactive music/sound/video performance and installations, which I curated and performed in. The show challenged the notion that art and performance are things to be merely watched by an audience. Instead, the audience played a vital role in the event.
